Women, Work, and Community is committed to helping women take a more active and effective role.
Services include the following:- Women Making a Difference. This workshop helps participants to learn about their communities, how the economy works, and offers hands-on training in practical leadership skills.
- Maine Women's Leadership Network. This task force meets periodically to support and encourage women in their leadership roles.
- Women's Economic and Community Development Institutes.
- Policy Initiatives on Issues Important to Women. Whether it's pay equity, support for microenterprises, or low income issues, WWC welcomes partners in our public policy work.
