Learn how to use your voice in the issues you care about

Whether it's organizing neighbors for a community project, speaking up at a town council meeting, or running for public office, women have important things to say and contribute.

Women, Work, and Community is committed to helping women take a more active and effective role.

Services include the following:
  • Women Making a Difference. This workshop helps participants to learn about their communities, how the economy works, and offers hands-on training in practical leadership skills.
  • Maine Women's Leadership Network. This task force meets periodically to support and encourage women in their leadership roles.
  • Women's Economic and Community Development Institutes.
  • Policy Initiatives on Issues Important to Women. Whether it's pay equity, support for microenterprises, or low income issues, WWC welcomes partners in our public policy work.

Together we can make a difference for women in the state of Maine!
