A twelve-week course which covers in depth such topics as your customer, your competition, marketing, record keeping, taxes, legal aspects, financing your business, and much more. At the end of 12 weeks you will have a written
business plan. This course qualifies for 3 UMA credits, with a small processing fee.

The orientation is April 3, 2008 9:00-12:00 noon
Interviews with each candidate will be held after the orientation.

Career Exploration: Paying The Bills and Feeding The Soul

This workshop will help you develop a career plan that will meets your financial and personal needs. You will identify your values, skills, interests, and experiences and connect them to a satisfying career. You will explore career options in the region and learn about training and education to meet your goals. Through activities, discussion, and information-gathering, you will develop a career plan with steps to make it a reality.

The workshop is designed for women and men from all backgrounds who need to get into the workforce or want to make a career change. There are no income or educational requirements.
